Brittany and Brett // Puerta Vallarta

Listen when all of this around us will fall over. I tell you what we're gonna do. You will shelter me, my love. And I, I will shelter you // Ray LaMontagne

Brittany and Brett Kenaga. Easily one of my new favorite couples. I met Brittany a few years ago while she was a bridesmaid in another wedding I was photographing (shout out to Maggie and Logan). When they got engaged I got an email shortly after asking about their wedding in Mexico. Needless to say I was stoked to get the email from them! Shortly after we got together for their engagement session near the Buffalo River. The chemistry between Brett and Brittany is unmatched. They’ve travelled all over the world together. These two are best friends and it shows. Some of the kindest people you will ever meet. They’re moving to Northwest Arkansas from Dallas, Texas and Kate and I can’t wait to double date with them!

Their wedding was set in a private villa tucked on the edge of Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. (Can check out Villa La Masion here.) The weather was amazing - 70’s and 80’s all week. When I got to the Villa, Brittany was so excited to see Brett. That first look couldn’t come fast enough. The ceremony was set on the backside of the Villa overlooking the beach and Pacific Ocean. As Brittany walked down the aisle to meet Brett, you could see and hear the waves crashing behind him. Just one of those moments you don’t forget. The reception began just after sunset. A gentle breeze and quiet waves surrounded everyone. The ambient lighting from the string lights above really set the tone for the evening. What truly set off the evening were the fireworks during their first dance from a nearby boat. I could go on and on about their wedding. We partied hard with the Kenagas’ and ended the night with Brittany, Brett, and their wedding party cannon-balling into the pool straight off the dance floor.

What. A. Day.
